State Licensure
Most states in the country require an esthetician to obtain a
license in order to practice. Licensing requirements vary greatly
from state-to-state and city-to-city. Please contact the
appropriate state licensing agency to see what is required in your
state.
States with No State Licensure
Connecticut is the only state in the U.S. that
does not have state wide licensing or
certification of estheticians. If you reside in this state check
with local municipalities to
ensure all requirements are met in order to practice skincare.
