Job Title:         Therapist Development Curriculum Manager

Reports To:     Vice-President of Industry Relations & Product Development

Status:             Exempt – Corporate Office Position

Function:         Responsible for projects, programs, and support materials related to Massage Envy therapist retention and professional development

 The Therapist Development Curriculum Manager is a massage therapy educator who has experience in both creating effective learning experiences and designing high-quality CEU curricular materials for massage therapists and estheticians.  In addition, this position creates CEU workshops and develops train the trainer programs for facilitation of these workshops. This position is also responsible creating and writing curriculum for various Massage Envy therapist and esthetician professional development programs.

 

 Principle Duties:

  • Develops and writes professional development programs for Massage Envy therapists and estheticians.
  • Writes and manages a CEU instructor training program based on ME policies and procedures for CEU approval process
  • Works with Massage Envy’s online education provider to develop CEU on-line education offerings opportunities for therapists/estheticians.
  • Develops and writes portable onsite CEU courses that are State and NCBTMB approved for facilitation by sanctioned regional instructors or regional staff.
  • Contributes content to therapist newsletter and website.
  • Assists Vice President in new service development and testing.
  • Increases implementation of successful retention strategies within by compiling best practices and creating communication strategies.
  • Reviews and revises draft materials
  • Contributes to the brainstorming and development of new materials.
  • Meets all established timelines
  • Participates in other departmental initiatives as assigned.

 

Required Qualifications:

 

  • Licensed massage therapist with minimum of 5 years of working experience required.
  • Licensed and/or educated esthetician desired.
  • Massage and esthetic education experience including instructor and/or school administration position.
  • Experience in writing and communication skills including background in massage or esthetic program and curricula development.
  • Insightful understanding of massage therapy and skincare professions nationally.
  • Experience working with regulatory bodies within the massage/esthetic profession.
  • Experience in training and presentation.
  • Must be able to travel   25%
